Traveling Circus.

Greetings, I am Kabryn. I am a 22 year old American traveler. I quit my job in the corporate world a year ago and left to backpack New Zealand. My journey has now turned into much more than I ever thought possible. This blog contains the thoughts and photographs of my adventures as I strive to live simply and happily in harmony with this beautiful Earth.

No internet

We are pretty off the grid at the moment but hope to be updating soon. Take care!

It passed.

dionthesocialist:

After all the campaigning, all the analysis, all the Facebook groups, and tweets, and tumbles, Amendment One passed. This isn’t about banning gay marriage in North Carolina, because gay marriage, as it has been said many times before, is already banned here. To be honest,…

Bonfire hair, dirty nails, electric blankets, flax flowers, hot tea, toothpaste kisses, frost and garlic cloves.

I feel so blessed. So blessed.

Not a bad drive for a kebab.

The southernmost coast of New Zealand. You find yourself at these places and it really feels like no one else has touched it.

Adventures.

We drove back to Te Anau but still had the car for another full day. Not sure what to do, we just decided to drive. The next closest city was Invercargill, on the bottom of the South Island, over two and a half hours away. We took off, singing old 90’s songs at the top of our lungs and stopping to take photographs along the way. The road was glorious and I felt so free. It was winding farmland that turned from mountainous to coastal in what felt like a split second. Having adventures with Ben is so effortless and just… fun. Sometimes that word just works. Fun.

The sun went down as we were driving. Ben held my hand as we got closer to Invercargill and we told stories from the lives we had before we were together. We arrived in Invercargill as the sun was going down. We were starving and roamed around the city looking for cheap dinner. Turkish kebabs it was and they were amazing. We got back in the car and headed back home, weaving through the streets, lost but happy. It was a perfect day, once again.

Now we can say that we drove 5 hours that day to Invercargill for a kebab and went home. And yet, it was more fun than I could have ever imagined.

Saving money sucks. Sometimes you have to pick between a hot lunch or an overnight cruise on the Milford. Cold ravioli for me.

Oh, but what a lunch time view.
